Quote Request Guidelines
To obtain the most accurate quote, it will be helpful to provide the following information:
Type/Size of Piano: To properly account for the manpower and equipment needed to move your piano safely, please specify the type of piano and its size. Grand pianos are measured from the front of the keys to the back of the piano. Upright pianos are measured by the height from the floor to the top.

Baby Grand
Typically 4 1/2 to 5'6 feet in length.
Spinet
The shortest uprights are generally less than 37 inches tall. The keys are almost as tall as the piano itself. The music rack is often taller than the piano
Home Organ
Usually 1-2 keyboards, no external speakers and less than 2' deep. Usually less than 200 lbs. ***
Parlor/Studio Grand
Typically ranges from 6 feet to 7 1/2 feet in length.
Upright Console/Studio
Typically range between 3'-4' tall. The music rack is almost as tall as the piano's backside.
Large Home Organ
Usually 2-3 manuals, external speakers, and/or removable pedals and bench. 13-24 pedals and approx. 200-400 lbs. ***
Concert Grand
Generally greater than 7 1/2 to 10 feet in length.
Upright
Typically more than 4' high. This style has a wooden "back" to it that you would see while playing the piano.
Small Church Organ
Multiple manuals, 2 or more external speakers, and a full pedal board. Total weight approx. 250-500 lbs. ***
Square Grand
This rectangular shaped piano has 4 removable legs. Generally the piano is approx. 7 feet in length.
Old Fashioned Upright
The tallest of the uprights- generally greater than 5' tall. Some call this style a "saloon" piano. They are bulky and often equipped with a player system.
Large Church Organ
Multiple manuals, multiple speakers, full pedalboard, 4 feet or taller, 2-4 feet deep and total weight approx. 500+ lbs. Examples: Allen, Rodgers ***
Stairs/Steps/Turns/Access: As the price of the move is determined by the ease of entrance/exit, please be prepared to describe the type of steps associated with each location as well as the access to your house. If we are prepared, we can get to any location, and move any piano. See examples below.
Type of Property/Stairs:
Consecutive Steps
Some residences have inside and/or outside steps. If there are no "turns' in the steps, simply count the number of steps the movers will go up or down for the estimate.
90 Degree Turn
Some steps are designed with a 90 degree turn. In such cases, the piano may or may not physically fit on the landing. A turn is required to position the piano appropriately to go up or down the next set of steps.
90 Degree Pie-Shaped Turn
Same as above but with no true landing. The move will still require a turn, possibly multiple turns, to safely manuever the piano up or down the steps.
180 Degree Stairwell Turn
Some flights of steps have a 180 degree turn with a landing. It is important to know the size of the landing. May require 1-2 turns to manuever the piano up or down the steps.
Spiral Stairwells
Perhaps the most involved scenario is the spiral staircase. Depending on the arc and number of steps, several turns may be required. Providing photos ahead of time can better prepare our movers and provide the most accurate estimate.
